Brief Technical Description:
Shaftless Screw Conveyors are high-efficiency conveying systems featuring a specially twisted spiral design that does not incorporate a central shaft or intermediate bearings; they enable the conveyance of sewage sludge, food waste, meal, fibrous and sticky bulk materials without jamming, wrapping around the screw or causing the system to seize.
Principle of Operation:
The high-strength shaftless helical spiral, driven by a gear-reducer motor, rotates whilst sliding along a wear-resistant lining located at the base of the U-shaped housing. As there is no shaft or intermediate bearing inside, the material does not become entangled in the helix; instead, it is continuously pushed forward along the housing by the rotational movement. Thanks to the fully enclosed, leak-proof housing design, odours, dust and liquid leakage are prevented, enabling transport at maximum fill rates.
