Plastic Elevator Bucket: This is a lightweight, wear-resistant and food-grade vertical conveying system, manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or nylon, designed for the high-capacity vertical conveyance of bulk materials such as wheat, maize, pulses and fertiliser in flour, feed, milling and grain processing plants.
Operating Principle: Plastic buckets, mounted in a row on the elevator belt or conveyor chain using special bucket bolts, operate on the principle of a continuous vertical cycle:
Lightweight and Flexible Loading: The plastic buckets, which dip into the raw material hopper at the bottom (base) of the elevator, collect the product into their chambers without breaking or deforming during contact with the base, thanks to their flexible structure.
Low-Energy Vertical Conveyance: The weight advantage of plastic material compared to metal buckets minimises the load on the belt and motor. This reduces mechanical wear and delivers significant energy savings.
Centrifugal Discharge: Buckets reaching the top (head) pulley of the elevator discharge the material using the centrifugal force generated by the rotational speed. The smooth inner surface prevents sticky materials such as flour and bran from remaining inside the bucket, ensuring complete discharge.
